Scripture: Luke 24:13-49
I.     Points to consider
1.        Jesus appears on the road to Emmaus（13-33）
                i.   Why did these two disciples want to leave Jerusalem? When Jesus was talking to them, why didn’t they recognize Him right away?
              ii.    How did Jesus minister to these two discouraged disciples? Why were they able to recognize Jesus when He broke the bread and gave it to them?
            iii.                After they recognized Jesus, how did they have strength to return to Jerusalem?
2.        Jesus appears to the disciples（36-48）
                i.                Are there similarities or differences between Jesus and the resurrected Jesus?
                 ii. Why didn’t Jesus open the disciples’ understanding when He was on earth? But after He was resurrected, the disciples’ understanding was opened by the Lord and they were able to understand the Lord’s word?
            iii.                What are the disciples to witness of? How were they to do it?

III.     Theme verse:
"This is what is written: The Christ will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and repentance and forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. You are witnesses of these things.” (Luke 24：46-48)
